Core Values

As a church, there are certain principles and attitudes that we strive to embody as God leads us. These values are the foundation from which we help Jesus to build His church in the Audubon/ Haddon Heights area. It is the way, we believe, God is actively using us to draw people to himself and then empower them to live the kind of life Christ promises. We hope you join us in that journey, that mission.

Relevant Biblical Teaching

We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word, the authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for Christians. The Bible is both timeless and timely, relevant to the common needs of all people at all times and to the specific problems of contemporary living. Therefore, we are committed to equipping Christians, through the preaching and teaching of God's Word, to follow Christ in every sphere of life.

Genuine Community

We are committed to small group ministry as one of the most effective means of building relationships, stimulating spiritual growth, and developing leaders. Therefore, the small group ministry is a key part of our ministry in the church.

Contemporary Worship Celebrations

Value 3

Worship is something we should be doing in our daily walk. As we gather for our corporate weekly celebration we endeavor to practice sincere and spiritual worship in prayer, in the word and in song. Musical worship is not so much a matter of style but of having a heart that is broken and contrite before God. We will use hymns, contemporary songs and choruses to promote genuine worship.

Intentional Outreach

Although numerical growth is not necessarily a sign of God's blessing, and is not a sufficient goal in itself, we believe that God desires for us to reach as many people as possible with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we will pursue methods and policies which will facilitate numerical growth, without compromising in any way our integrity or our commitment to Biblical truth.

Love-Oriented Environment

Value 5

God's love is taught and preached consistently. People are accepted as they are but loved too much to leave them there. Discipleship is the process we use to encourage one to grow in love, the act of being conformed to the image of Christ. Liberty is balanced by love.
